Benefits are not provided for any loss caused by, or resulting from, a Pre-existing Condition, as defined, unless the loss is incurred at least 12-months after the Effective Date of coverage for a Covered Person.
Pre-existing Condition is any Injury or Sickness for which medical advice or treatment was recommended by, or received from, a Doctor within a twelve (12) month period prior to the Effective Date of coverage for a Covered Person under the policy included in this program.
PAC Program
Would you like to reduce your hospital and medical bills? With the Hospital Patient Advocacy Program you can do just that. Do you ever wish you had your own personal negotiator? PAC offers you your personal PAC Advocate.
The Hospital Patient Advocacy program works on behalf of the members and their loved ones by negotiating with hospitals to lower their out–of–pocket expenses in medical bills. The PAC program is designed to assist uninsured people; it applies equally to people who are covered by medical insurance, including those on Medicare.
We maintain a full service Patient Advocacy Center (PAC) of dedicated and experienced advocates. Our PAC advocates have over 20 year experience negotiating with hospitals nationwide. PAC not only negotiates lower hospital bills, it also works to locate and access all available saving programs that members may be eligible to participate in. PAC’s knowledgeable staff will make every effort to substantially lower members’ hospital and other medical bills to make hospital stay more affordable and manageable. On occasions, PAC has even negotiated dismissal of entire hospital bills for members, saving members tens and hundreds of thousands of dollars!
PAC passionately trains its staff of advocates by ensuring that the patient is first priority. They communicate on behalf of the patient’s to obtain the lowest possible rates. The Advocates work to enhance long–term partnerships with the hospitals for the advantage of our members.

Coverage is provided for room, board, miscellaneous medical hospital charges, and general nursing services for each day a Covered Person is confined to a hospital due to injury or sickness during a period of Confinement.
1 Association group insurance benefits provided through an insurance policy (AH 24230–003) issued and underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company. There is a waiting period before this benefit goes into effect and age limit vary depending on the member’s state of residence. For specific information on benefit waiting periods and age limits of legal children call Member Services at 1 (877) 247-8868. This benefit is subject to 12/12 pre–existing condition limitation.

Coverage is provided for each day a Covered Person is confined to a hospital in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) due to an injury or sickness during a period of confinement.
